Mobility Products

Since 2009, we have offered the customers of Downham Market and the surrounding areas the ability to purchase adjustable beds and lift and rise recliners without having to travel miles to find what they are looking for.
When we heard that the owner of the long-standing mobility shop was retiring, we didn't think it was right that the town lost this vital service, so we decided to take the bull by the horns and step in to expand our current range to offer mobility scooters, wheelchairs, power (wheel)chairs, walking aids, rollators and other smaller accessories, so you can shop locally to support your independence and comfort at home. `
We have on display a good range of mobility scooters, including the lightest scooter ever brought into the UK, weighing just 10.5kg(!) and with a maximum user limit of 21 stone. Folding models (some of which convert effortlessly like a pushchair) are both compact and travel safe (airlines, trains etc) and are even available as an auto-fold option if you struggle to bend down to operate the closure mechanism. We also display larger 4mph pavement scooters for those who never need to travel as well as 8mph versions which are class 3, so are allowed to be ridden on the road once it's been registered. Our lightweight models feature quick-release lithium batteries which can be charged inside your home with ease, as they are so small.
If you're looking for a manual walker, also known as a Rollator, we have a selection of these too. They have brakes so you don't feel like they're running away with you, and most feature a handy seat, so if you need a rest whilst you're out and about, you can apply the handbrakes to catch a breather! Like most of our other products, these have come on a long way and are often very lightweight, so if you need to pick it up to get on the bus etc, you shouldn't find this too strenuous.
Wheelchairs and electric wheelchairs (power chairs) are also on display. Power chairs are great for independence, as they carry their own battery, so no attendant is needed, whilst transport wheelchairs need someone to push them. Both versions fold up, so they can be stored away easily, or even placed in your car boot. Our lightest transport wheelchair weighs just 5.7kg and has a weight limit of 18 stone - this is also available self-propelled (larger back wheels, so the user can manoeuvre the chair without the help of another person).
Smaller mobility items such as cushions, grab rails etc are all available to order from our vast brochure collection and these can be delivered directly to your door if you prefer, within a matter of days, if we don't have them available to take away.
We're been trusted by our wonderful customers for many years and those who know us know we don't do anything by halves. We aim to offer you the best products at the best prices and we believe our service is second to none.
Delivery is free within 25 miles, as is the set-up of your new products - and of course a demonstration, if you would find that helpful. On adjustable bed purchases, we offer free disposal of your old bed when we deliver your new one, making it as hassle-free as possible for you.
If you're housebound but are interested in our products, please do get in touch, as it could be that we could arrange a home visit to assist you.
We look forward to being of service to you.
